Document due diligence for NPL portfolios

Cross-check the portfolio you are pricing, file by file. Compare the seller’s data tape with the available documents and receive differences, missing items and evidence for each operation.

Documents you provide

The contents of the seller’s data room: the portfolio data tape and the available documents for each operation.

Seller’s data tape

Outstanding principal, dates, ownership and tax identifiers from the portfolio inventory, for comparison against each document.

Agreements, deeds and notices

Documents recording parties, amounts, signatures, co-borrowers and financial terms.

Certificates and security

Balance certificates and collateral documents, together with the list of documents declared delivered.

What MestrIA checks

A five percent sample leaves ninety five percent unread. The agreed review applies four checks to each file in scope, retaining evidence for the team to assess differences.

Against the data tape

Compares principal, dates, ownership and tax identifiers with the documents. Differences are ranked by severity.

Within the case file

Cross-checks parties, amounts, signatures and co-borrowers across agreements, deeds and notices.

Document completeness

Compares the documents declared delivered with those actually present in the folder.

Terms and clauses

Extracts principal, nominal rate, APR, fees, security, default interest and its calculation base, with a page reference for each value.

What you receive

An Excel file you can open in front of the committee: one row per case, supporting evidence and a portfolio summary.

One row per file

With its verdict: complete, with discrepancies, or incomplete. And with the detail of what is missing and what does not match, field by field.

Evidence behind every value

The document, page and position each value came from, plus its confidence. When someone asks where a figure comes from, the answer sits in the same row.

Portfolio summary

How many files are clean, how many have a gap you can claim against the seller, and how many do not stand up. That is what moves the price.

Getting started and integrations

Start with a batch. Intake channels and delivery to your system are configured for your workflow.

01

Choose and upload

Select the solution and upload documents from one or several case files.

02

MestrIA processes

Cross-checks each file against the data tape and its other documents, reviews completeness and reads the financial terms.

03

Receive and review

Review the case-level workbook, source evidence and portfolio summary before taking discrepancies to the committee.

Input

Batch uploads through the platform. Email intake is configured for your team.

Output

Excel with one row per case, field-level evidence and a portfolio summary. Automatic delivery is configured within the contracted solution.

Scope and professional review

Before a non-binding offer, a stratified sample helps assess the documents within that sample. During due diligence, the agreed portfolio is checked against the data tape. The team assesses the commercial and legal effect of discrepancies.

Review with the evidence

Each result retains its source so your team can check it against the supplied documents.

Scope of the solution

Files, checks, pricing and delivery dates are agreed after reviewing a sample. A sample does not establish the status of unreviewed files.

EU processing

Documents and their data are stored and processed in the European Union.

Try it on a batch of your own

We agree the pilot scope after reviewing a sample. Fields, checks, evaluation criteria and confidentiality terms are defined in the proposal.
